Q:
Are these products nontoxic, biodegradable, and safe for the environment?

A:
Laritelle products are formulated using the highest quality organic, sustainably gathered, wild harvested, unsprayed, biodynamically farmed ingredients. We always strive to source certified organic ingredients where possible, and often use wildharvested when organic is not commercially available. All wildharvested ingredients are sourced from vendors that adhere to standards that ensure that materials taken from the wild are ethically sourced so that nature can perform its replanting process. Our products are cruelty-free and vegan, and free from GMOs, gluten, alcohol, parabens, phthalates, and SLS. We use recyclable BPA-free plastic containers.

Q:
Which hair care products should I choose?

A:
Our line of hair care products consists of 6 different hair treatments, shampoos and conditioners. All of them are formulated to improve scalp and hair condition, fight / prevent hair loss and promote new healthy hair growth, protect damaged or weakened hair, seal split ends, add shine and luster. Fertile Roots has a focus on existing hair loss, whereas all other editions are focused on hair loss prevention. Also, since many problems occur due to underlying conditions, our products are formulated to balance and support energetic body (please see references to chakras 1-5 below).
Energetic properties, and scents, vary as follows:
Fertile Roots edition has a grounding soft woody scent with fresh ginger undertones and a touch of smokiness. Formulated to balance and support 1st chakra.
Sensual Bliss edition can be described as delightfully clean, delicately sweet with exotic middle note, which is heavenly and calming. Formulated to balance and support 2nd chakra.
Diamond Strong edition has a fresh, clean and crisp scent with woody notes, which is uplifting, stimulating and energizing. Formulated to balance and support 3rd chakra.
Nature's Love edition has a honey-like scent with herbaceous top notes of rosemary and thyme and spicy undertones of ginger, plus hint of grapefruit. Formulated to balance and support 4th chakra.
Silk Velvet edition has camphoraceous scent with peppery green and sweet herbaceous undertones. Formulated to balance and support 5th chakra.
Herbal Magic edition (the only treatment that doesn’t have to be washed off) has a natural light scent of herbs, which could be described as herbaceous, sweet, soft green.

Fertile Roots edition - balances and supports 1st chakra. This chakra is also known as the Root Chakra or Muladhara and deals with our foundation, support, survival and living on the planet.
Sensual Bliss edition - balances and supports 2nd chakra. This chakra is also known as the Sacral Chakra or Swadhisthana and deals with relationships, sexual energy, immune system and our creation energy.
Diamond Strong edition - balances and supports 3rd chakra. This chakra is also known as the Solar Plexus Chakra or Manipura and deals with owning our own power, dream-time, distribution of energy throughout the body.
Nature's Love edition - balances and supports 4th chakra. This chakra is also known as the Heart Chakra or Anahata and deals with unconditional love for self and whatever the divine is to each of us. This is where we hold our Divine identity.
Silk Velvet - balances and supports 5th chakra. This chakra is also known as the Throat Chakra or Vishuddha and deals with speaking our truth with integrity as well as our will and creative self expression.

What do your products smell like?

Q:
How soon after I start using your hair care products will I see the results?

A:
The answer depends on underlying conditions, stress, medications, etc.
Hair loss can be triggered by about 30 different medical conditions. As a starting point, hair loss experts recommend testing for thyroid problems and hormone imbalances. It is also important to supplement your diet with vitamins and minerals as well as balanced nutritious meals including quality proteins. The wear and tear of daily cellular activity requires continuous replacement of aged dysfunctional proteins with newly synthesized proteins. These two processes are essential for maintaining cellular function and maximizing the lifespan of the cell.
A sudden or stressful event can cause the hair follicles to prematurely stop growing and enter into a resting phase. The hair will then stay in the resting phase for about 3 months after which time a large amount of hair will be shed. In most cases the hair loss is temporary and the hair soon recovers. However in some cases the hair loss continues until the underlying cause is removed.
If hair loss is genetically determined or, there are no active follicles in the area of application, our hair care products will be of little help.
There is no way to "test" if your hair follicles are active. One obvious way to tell is if you see new hairs grow. If you notice no hair growth for 6 to 12 months then it probably is a "dead" follicle. In this case we recommend a formal evaluation.

Hair loss and drugs:
Drugs which may cause hair loss as a side effect include anti-gout agents such as alloppurinol; blood thinners such as heparin and coumarin; and cholesterol lowering drugs such as clofibrate and gemfibrozil.

Hair loss and birth control pills:
Birth control pills affect the hormone levels within the body and these hormone levels can affect hair growth. In some cases hair thinning may occur due to the male hormones present is some types of contraceptive pills, resulting in hair loss similar to that of androgenetic alopecia. Discontinuation of the pill can result in hair loss similar to that which occurs after childbirth, due to the drop in hormone levels.

Hair loss and pregnancy:
Increased levels of hormones estrogen and progesterone during pregnancy cause more hairs than normal to remain in the growth phase. Following childbirth or termination of pregnancy, many of the hair follicles that had delayed entering the resting phase suddenly enter the resting phase due to the rapid drop in hormone levels.

Hair loss and underlying conditions:
Other causes of hair loss include thyroid gland malfunction (hypothyroidism or hyprethyroidism, which occurs when the thyroid gland produces too little or too much, respectively, of the thyroid hormone, thyroxin); diabetes; anaemia; and the autoimmune disease, systemic lupus erythematosis.

Q:
How do your hair products work?

A:
Hair growth occurs in three distinct phases:

The first one is Anagen where active hair growth occurs over a period of two or more years, followed by Catagen where the follicle is in a state of transition. The Catagen phase lasts on average for 2-3 weeks. Finally, in Telogen phase the follicle goes dormant. During this phase, there is little to no blood flow occurs and the follicle goes dormant for 2-4 months.

Laritelle products are formulated to rejuvenate and nourish the follicles in both Anagen and Telogen phases, increasing the blood flow to the follicle, providing necessary nutrients; revitalizing dormant follicles, shortening Telogen phase and moving follicles out of it into the natural growth cycle faster. Hair growth (Anagen) phase begins as soon as the hair follicle has enough strength to produce new hair fiber. The longer the hair stays in this phase, the faster and longer it will grow.

When it comes to hair loss you can easily distinguish the natural hair loss from the problem hair loss by the color of the root of the fallen hair. Those hairs that fall out because their growing (Anagen) phase cycle has finished have white-colored tip of the root. But those hair strands that detached from hair follicle before their growing (Anagen) phase cycle ended naturally are dark in color.

All of our products are formulated based on published clinical studies, research into mechanisms of hair loss and treatments, energetic aspects of aromatherapy, and connecting energetics and chemistry of oils. We also took into account years of empirical evidence supporting efficacy of the ingredients.
